HOPE Channel TV at Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park
February 18, 2020

On Tuesday 18 February, the HOPE Channel TV team visited the
National Park to interview one of the Park Rangers and find out about the work
of the National Trust of Fiji, especially at the National Park.

Ranger Sakiusa Bulivorovoro was chosen to be the ‘TV Face’
for the Park and guide for the HOPE Channel TV team. He gave them a grand tour
of the Park and explained about the conservation work involved. Ranger Sakiusa
said he enjoyed the experience very much (aside from been very camera shy
initially) and was happy to share with the TV host and his team, how amazing the
National Park is. He added that working in the Park for him is ‘doing God’s
work’ and that he would like encourage everyone to be mindful of our
responsibility towards our natural environment. He said that TV show gave him
that opportunity.

The Hope Channel is the official television network of the
Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Their TV team visited the park to film an episode
for their children’s TV show, titled ‘Bula Kids 4 Jesus’. The show focuses on
character development and building stronger families within our communities.

The National Trust of Fiji extends our appreciation to the
HOPE Channel TV team for giving us the opportunity to share our amazing work
place and national heritage to its audience.
